Carpenters’ Yard Creative Community

Our Carpenters’ Yard project is breathing new life into a cluster of old naval workshops, including an historic fire station.

Once a busy part of Priddy’s Hard, Carpenters’ Yard is being restored and transformed into a place for artists, makers, cultural projects and creative communities. A new public courtyard will provide a meeting and communal space.

Delivered with generous support from Arts Council England’s Capital Investment Programme, the project will support local talent, increase access to creative opportunities, and create space for collaboration, learning and cultural activity rooted in the history of the site.
