Boathouse 7 is a beautifully restored historic boathouse offering a relaxed family friendly atmosphere with multiple hot and cold food options to select from.

Dishes range from traditional fish & chips to pie and mash and a Naval favourite of ‘cheesy hammy eggy’ as well as a variety of grab and go sandwiches and salads for a lighter option. The team is committed to ethical and sustainable dishes, seen in the ‘Waste Knot’ home made soup where surplus vegetables are delivered from farmers’ fields to the kitchen.

Barista style coffee and Boathouse bakery cakes, are also available and a firm favourite across the dockyard.

  • Boathouse 7 is open daily from 10.00
  • Summer Months (April – October half term) closure is set for 17.00
  • Winter months (November – March) closure is set for 16.30
  • Hot counter lunch is available daily from midday – 14.30

SOCIETY CAFÉ

Society café is one of the first sites you come to as you enter the dockyard, perfect to fuel up ahead of your day of exploration! Here you can find a selection of hot and cold drinks, grab, and go style sandwiches, paninis, and Boathouse bakery treats.

PICNIC AREAS

Enjoy our heritage sites and take in the sea air with a picnic in one of our picnic areas. These can be found alongside the Porter’s Garden and in the arena in front of the Mary Rose Museum at Portsmouth, and on the green at Priddy’s Hard. Treat yourself to a take away lunch from one of the sites’ fantastic food outlets or simply bring your own.
